Dr. Erik Melin grew up in Rochester, MN. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry at St. Olaf College and graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He has been at Westgate Pet Clinic ever since. Within veterinary medicine, he has specific interest in ophthalmology and endoscopy/laparoscopy.
Pets:
Outside of work Erik enjoys running, golfing, Golden Gopher basketball, and most of all spending time with wife, Bethany, and 4 year old son, Henry, at his family's cabin near Brainerd. Pets include a 7 year old Schnoodle (miniature schnauzer/miniature poodle cross) named Tom and two domestic shorthair cats, Moby and Oliver.
